Oboma getting the Nobel Peace Prize Award
I am only slightly confused about why they gave this award to Obama. I think he was nominated because he was the first negro voted in as president. Don't get me wrong I don't dislike him because he black but because I don't think that he has or will really do any thing to help his own country let alone any other country.
Here is why I think the way that I do.
1. The first thing he did was close millions of acres of forests to logging, and agriculture by turning them into wilderness areas. This has cost thousands of jobs, and hundreds of ranchers to have to sell out. He did this with the reason of saving the environment. In reality all it has done is turn thousands of acres of forest into a death trap for the environment in the form of more forest fires which are fought by the federal and state governments to save habitat for the animals. In reality the forest need to be burned off once in a while or logged. Forests are one of the few renewable resources in the world. Then there is the farmers who will be forced to sell or be foreclosed who's property will more than likely subdivided. Now how is all of this of any good to us or the world.
2. He gave us his big stimulus plan that has done nothing for any one except a few of his cronies.
3. His big health care plan is a bust. It is not that we don't need to reform our health care system from the ground up but it can be done cheaper and faster through other means that to let the government take it over, nothing that the government has been in charge of has ever been successful. All of the other governments that have this system for health care are trying to get out of it. That by the way is not going to be free. They are going to tax everything companys like the drug companies who make our drugs, the hospitla supply companys who make every thing from x-ray machines to the beds, doctors, insurance company's, the people who own small businesses who make over $250,000.00, and even certain forms of the food we eat, oh and don't forget the national sales tax on top of all that. And they say that it will not cost us any thing.
4. He has become one of the jet setting people that he has been complaining about only at our expense not his. At least they or the company the work for pay for it.
So what has he done besides raise the prices of every thing, put businesses out of business, and travel all around the world weakening our country with every speech he gives.
There is the reasons why they gave him the award. It is because he has done nothing for his country or the world he has just manged to weaken his own country which makes him look good to them.
Just remember he is not a rock star. He is the president of the United States of America and should be held up to a hire standard than any one else in our country. He should be guiding us according to the constitution not what he thinks the constitution should say.
Just to let you know I did not vote for him I voted for Paline. and if Bush could have run again I would have voted for him, at least he was trying to help not ruin our country.
